A Quick Picture Summary:)

Okay, I was finally able to upload some pictures for a quick photo summary. These are: Brock with his butterflies (they had just come out of their caucoons; 4th of July; our big standing Briley 8 1/2 months; some pictures from our Girls 30th Birthday Bash weekend in Havasu; a day at the beach; and an art project we did for fun.

Opps - Another Month

Yep.. once again it's been a month since I've posted - so sorry Grandma's. We have been pretty busy: 4th of July, Lake Gregory, the Beach, Lake Havasu, hatching butterflies, catching TONS of bugs, and lots of days in our backyard swimming pool. The Lake Havasu trip was a mommy only trip. 6 of us, who have been friends since elementary, and Jr high, headed to Havasu to celebrate our 30th Birthdays - we all turn 30 this year. For some reason my computer wont let me up load any pictures. I'll try again tomorrow, and hopefully then I'll be able to give you the photo run through of the past 4 weeks. Hope every one is having a wonderful summer:)

Summer Fun

I'm am definitly a summer girl - I love being outside, playing in the sun... but this heat...109!! is crazy. We've been trying not to melt - here are a few of our captured moments.I finally found a good use for that stupid bath seat I bought - it was more work than help in the bath tub, but it's perfect for Bri in the pool:)

Prayer Request

We just got back from Dallas where we took our motorhome for a quick visit to see Bobby's Grandma; MeeMaw. She's very sick, she's been battleing cancer for years, and she hadn't met Briley yet, or seen the boys in a while. It was good to see her, and all teh family in Texas, but she'd still in the hospital and really strugeling. Please keep MeeMaw in your prayers, she's having a very dificult time breathing, and they've put her on hospice.

OUR B-ROCK STAR

Brock had a spring performance at his preschool the other night. He joined his class on stage to dance to some crazy song. There were hundreds of parents there watching, and Brock LOVED being up on the stage.

LA Zoo

Grammy and I took the kids to the LA ZOO the other week - when we had the heat wave. You'll notice the sweaty faces - it was 103 degrees that day. With the help of a few icees, we survived and had a good time.

BRILEY'S FIRST HAIR CUT

Briley is now 7 months old - she's crawling all over the place, sitting up, eating solids, but , still no teeth (thank God since we're still nursing:) She was such a good girl at her first hair cut. These are pictures of the big event and her photo shoot afterwards with Mommy:) - She was actually watching a moth outside the window - she's going to have fun catching bugs with her brothers I think.

As I said, we've been going through a really hard time, and I havn't really been able to keep up with the blog, but there has been a lot of fun things going on with the kids, so this is my attempt to try to catch up with the month - through pictures of course:)

Naked AND LOVIN IT

Since the weather is awesome, I just couldn't stay inside. Our backyard is still under construction, so we headed to Grammy's house for some fun in the sun. For some reason, my boys would NOT keep their trunks on. It was just too fun to run around and splash in the water naked. I put those trunks on over and over, but off they came each time.

Dane's the BIG 2

Well yesterday was Dane's 2nd birthday. I still can't believe it. I know I sound like an old lady, but time is FLYING BY! It seems like he just turned one. This has been quite a year for him. Dane is my sweet sweet boy; he'll give you kisses, and blow them to you from across the room, he loves to cuddle and make others laugh but don't let those sweet blue eyes fool you... he's full of it! He's my wild man - into everything. He has no sense of fear and he loves to climb. He's knocked himself out twice this year from falls (both times Bobby or I was within a few feet). You just can't turn your back for a second with that one. He got to go in his first (and hopefully last) ambulance ride too. For his birthday, we had a party at Chuck E. Cheese - one of his favorite places. He had a blast - these are just a few pics from his day. * notice the picture with Grandma Chris... yes, she is in the cage with him that is attatched to the ceiling. He climbed up and in she went after him.

Report Card

This post is really for the Grandma's:) Yesterday we had a parent teacher conference for Brock. It seems funny - He's 3 , goes to school two mornings a week, but they had quite a lot to tell us. Brock LOVES school. He asks almost every morning when he gets up if he gets to go to school that day. I am amazed at what he's already learned. So now, I have to brag a bit about his teachers report. His teachers gave him outstanding in every area. He knows: all his letters - by sight and sound, he can count to 29, he's starting to sound things out, he loves rhyming, sorting, puzzles, patterns, and at the top of his list - Dancing and wrestling. He's very social, and really enjoys the kids in his class. He never passes a chance to stand in front of the class to share, help, or lead. That's my boy:) I'm so glad he's doing well in school. I was worried when he started that he might be too young, but he's proven that not to be the case. So, as a celebration of Brock's good report card, we had frosties last night, and Brock got to be the "Man of the Hour"

Bangs...almost

Well, Briley is 5 months, and I just can't wait to do pony tails and curls:) I'm going to have to wait a bit longer... but today we almost got bangs!!

Big Boy Bike

This weekend, Brock informed us that he was no longer a baby, and wanted his Dad to take off his training wheels. So, off they went and then we headed to the park down the street. We figured the tennis courts were probably the softest ground around to ride on. Here are a few pictures from the big event. Brock wasn't so sure about the "big boy bike" at first, but we were able to convince him to keep trying for atleast half an hour. He hasn't quite got it mastered - but it was a good work out for Daddy:) and of course Dane was there for moral support.

It will "ROSE" again

Well, as a lot of you know, my brother Brad is a high school teacher and this week his school is out for spring break. So, he invited me up for the day with the kids to go fishing. Brock LOVED fishing with Uncle Brad, Dane LOVED all the dirt, and Briley loves everything as long as she's being held (I LOVE my infant carrier:). Well, after a very successful few hours we headed back to Brad's house. I hadn't planned on taking any fish with us, but 6 of their catch had swallowed the hook, so Brad decided to take those trout home since they were going to die anyway. However, Brock had other plans. When he realized we were going to leave the fish at Uncle Brad's he had a bit of a fit. He really wanted to take all 6 fish home to show Daddy. How could I say no. So we threw them in ziplocks and headed down the mountain. Of course we hit traffic, and I was sure after hours in the car things were going to start stinking bad - luckily the ziplocks held up, and I convinced Brock NOT to take the fish out to hold like he REALLY wanted to. But, the best part of the day was the conversation down the mountain. Brock assured me that the fish were not dead. That we were going to go home and put them in water in the back yard and they'd swim again...I'd see. I tried to explain that fish can't live outside of water, and that his fish were dead, and NOT coming back to life. he sat quietly for a minute thinking about this. I was afraid he'd never want to fish again. After a minute or two of silence; I thought we were past the dead fish thing, Brock informed me," Mommy you're wrong, my fish are going to rose again like Jesus. You'll see" Gotta love the insight of a 3 year old:)
