Oh what a HOT HOT weekend!!

Saturday morning Bobby got up and had the great idea to take the family to Raging Waters. Growing up, I had a season pass there every summer - I LOVED the place. But, being 8 months pregnant, with a 5, 3 and 20 month old who can't swim, and it being 104 that day, the idea DIDN'T sound so good to me.
Thank God for Pops, who agreed to go with Bobby and the boys:) Thanks again Pops:) Briley and I stayed home and the boys had a great time. Here are a few pics.

Then Sunday we all braved the heat and headed to the driving range. Daddy bought the boys new golf clubs so everyone was super excited.

Let's Go Angels!!!!

On Saturday, while Briley and I were at my cousin's bridal shower, Bobby took the boys to their first pro ball game. They had a blast! Poor boys though... it was sooo hot.

Oh Dane!?!?

We've been having a horrible problem with ants... they are everywhere. Every morning I wake up and dread coming down stairs to see where they ventured to during the night. I decided to try to make it a fun game with the boys and have them help me go "ant hunting". I gave them each a "smasher" and we set out. A second later, Brock informs me that Dane likes to use knifes to kill bugs.
What?!?
He told me that last night he killed a pincher bug with a knife.
When I asked him where he got the knife, Dane informed he, "from the knife drawer"
What?!?!?
Through further questioning I found out that some time after 10:45 (when we came up stairs to go to bed) Dane went down stairs, got into our silverware drawer, pulled out a knife, took it up stairs, killed the pincher bug, then went back down stairs and put the knife away!!!!
This is the same child who I discovered last week got up during the night, went down stairs, got my sharp scissors, carried them up to his room and used them to cut off a tag that was bugging him at night. He was pretty proud of himself for that. He said that's what you do Mommy when it bugs me and you were sleepin'.
Oh Lord Please protect this little boy!!
How am I ever going to be able to sleep now?

Test Results:(

The Dr.'s office called yesterday, and bad news... I DO have gesdational diabetes!!! Man, this pregnancy really has been hard. I'm still feeling kind of shocked. I think i've eaten better this time than any other. I've only made two batches of brownies, and they were both fat free, and I had to share them with the three kiddos. The nurse said because I'm pregnant, I;m considered an emergancy, and I will be given the first availible appointment to see the specialist, and I should hear from them today.
Has anyone else out there had this? I'm a little scared. I've been reading what I can on the internet, and it says it causes the baby to get really big in utero. My kida are already 8-9 lbs. at birth!!! How big is this boy going to get?!?!?!? Because of that I guess, the chance of a Cecerean is much higher - no way - that I absolutly DO NOT wnat to have!! Please please share if you've been through this too:)

Nameless Baby!

Last night as I was sitting with Bobby and telling him all about our crazy day, he came out of no were with, "So, is now a good time to tell you I don't like the name Canaan Jace anymore?!?!" What? So now, we have no idea what we are going to name our little guy.
We were listening to the Bible on tape the other morning in our bathroom while we were getting ready, and a passage came up about Canaan. We knew it was the original name of the Promise Land and that is why I liked it, but I didn't know it was the name of Noah's grandson that was cursed. Turns out he wasn't such a great guy. After hearing that, Bobby didn't like the name so much
Now, we have no idea what his name is going to be!

What was I thinking?!?!?

I decided to keep Brock in preschool for the summer for three mornings a week (MWF). I knew that I probably wouldn't be up for weekly beach trips and tons of other outings this summer since I'm in my third trimester. His preschool has a great summer school program: a wild west theme, with weekly water days, horse back riding, chili cook off, cowboy living, and of course tons of art and kindergarten prep. I also signed the boys up for swimming lessons and baseball.
Swimming started on Monday, and it is every day for the next two weeks. The boys love it, but just let me say - I am MELTING!!! It is really hot on that pool deck!!
Baseball ended up starting a week sooner than I thought. It started this Friday.
Thus... yesterday was complete craziness in 96 degree weather!!
Brock had preschool in the morning, and an hour of it was outside water play. I then picked him up, changed his clothes in the car, and we all headed to the pool deck for swimming lessons. Thank God both boys take lessons at the same time. Then back to the car we ran for another "Costume change" into their clothes for baseball. Swimming ended at 2, Dane's baseball was at 3 at a park across town, and Brock's was at 4 - at least at the same park.
It was total craziness. My kids were so wiped out - I have to admit that was nice. Briley did so good tagging along with us. She did love finally getting to run around at the park for a bit. Here are a few pics from the crazy day.

4th of July pics. coming... I promise Grandmas:)

I will get to the 4th pictures, but first I just have to rant - I'm in need of some sympathy:( Last week I took my glucose tolerance test... I failed!!! So this morning I had to go to San Antonio hospital and take the 4 hour glucose test. I had to leave the house by 7 in order to get there in time, do the horrid test, get Brock at preschool and head straight to swimming lessons. It was going to be very tight. I packed his lunch the night before, had breakfast ready and on the table when I left, had everything ready for swimming lessons, had a car seat out of my car and ready to go into my moms so she could meet me at swimming with the other two. As I headed to the hospital, having fasted for 12 hours I thought I had it all covered.
Then, three hours and 35 minutes into my test - 4 vials of blood already filled and only one more draw to go - in 25 minutes - it happened...
I got sick. I was sitting in the the waiting area of the hospital (they called me into the lab every hour to draw blood, then back to the waiting area with everyone from ER). I literally ran to the bathroom, but didn't make it. I threw up all over the place, then continued until I'd filled two barf buckets as well.
That isn't the worse part - barfing my guts out in front of over 30 watching people...
the worse part - BECAUSE I THREW UP DURING THE TEST, I HAVE TO DO THE ENTIRE TEST ALL OVER!!!! I had almost made it - I only had 25 minutes left!!!! Now I have to go back and do it all over again!!!
If I can make it through the test, when it's all said and done, I will have filled 10vials with blood and spent 9 hours doing this stupid test!!!

Oh what a day

Today I took the kiddos to my mom's for some water fun. My girlfriend Heather joined us with her kids. They had a blast.

On the way home my husband called and wanted to have a guys night out with his boys. We ran home, had fast baths, naps, and then Daddy showed up to take the little men to the movies - Ice Age. Of course Briley and I took advantage of the boy free night and headed to TJMAXX and Golden Spoon:)

Who pinched the baby?!?!
