MY KID'S DOMAINS

So I was checking a friends blog who is in the process of moving, and she posted a few pics of her kids rooms as she got them set up. My oldest saw the pics and asked where the pics of his room where. So, I thought let's share. I LOVE touring and seeing other peoples homes. I do a little interior decorating on the side, and I love seeing what ideas other people have had. So, Brock and I grabbed the camara and shot some pics. This is Brock's room. Our "Fishing Hole".

Then there's Dane's "Surf Shack"

Next, Little Miss Briley's "Pink Sugar" room

Last but not least...our PLAYROOM:)

BRILEY...MY (ALMOST) WALKER

As I mentioned in my last post, our backyard is, as I like to put it, unplayable. Thank God we have a big kitchen, and the kids can ride their bikes around the island. Until last night little Miss Briley only watched and laughed. But, now with the help of the hippo, Briley can join the crazy race around the kitchen.

OUR LITTLE BIKER

Dane, My BIG two year old has now mastered the art of pedaling. He is so proud of himself. We were once again visiting Grammy's house (where we play in her backyard because our big 1/2 acre is a death trap) Side note - as some of you know we started our gigantic swimming pool a while ago, and when the mortgage market crashed (my husband owns a mortgage/real estate company) we had to stop the work on the pool. So, now we have a huge 20 foot deep hole in our backyard with trenches for plumbing and electric surrounding it. So, Grammy has accumulated all our outside toys; sand box, swing set, bikes, blow up pool...everything - and we've spent quite alot of time at her place.

COOKIES WITH GRAMMY

The boys LOVE making cookies with Grammy and Great Grandma Chris. Today was Grammy's turn. They made Peanut Butter Blossoms, or Peanut Butter Possum's as Brock calls them. What a yummy mess they made!

Hanging with Daddy

You've gotta love the dramatic difference in color with Bobby and Dane!:)

THE TAILS

First there was one... now there are two...tony tails that is:)

Water fight

Another week... more heat. So again we headed out back for a little water fun - I think Dane took the brunt of the assaults.

Another first...First tony (aka pony) tail

Briley's hair is finally long enogh to get into a pony tail - a baby pony tail. She was quite proud of herself.

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Wednesday was Brock's first day of school. Last year he went to preschool two mornings a week - he ABSOLUTELY LOVED it. This year he gets to go three mornings a week. He loves school and is really excited about his new teachers.

FIRST STEPS

Our little Miss Briley is almost walking. On Monday she took her first steps - three to be exact. I don't think I'm ready for her to walk yet. The boys didn't walk until they were 12 months ( I think it was because they were so chubby:) But, little skinny miny Briley doesn't have that problem so looks like she's going to be walking at 10 months. Things are happening way too fast - it doesn't seem like she should even be crawling yet - I swear it seems like she was just born!

Once again, another month and no post - I will get better at this I swear:) Well, we've had quite a busy month - I absolutly LOVE summer - and all that it includes: days at the beach, swimming at the lake, running through sprinklers, blow up swimming pools, chalk on the sidewalk, popcycles...I just love it all. It's also been a sad month - on the 5th I turned 30 and I am still in morning for my twenties, but the true pain came on the 23rd when we celebrated Nathan's first birthday - we miss him so much.
The day after Nathan's birthday, we went up to Brad and Amber's to play. Their house is absolute heaven for my boys. They fish and hike and play in the waterfall and play in the dirt (snow if it's cold). And to top it all off they have a little boy who is 3 that lives across the street who loves to play and is great at sharing all his cool toys. So, we spent the day hiking with everyone and our dogs down by the water and up the trail, then riding in AJ's cool Jeep, and any other crazy thing the boys could think up.

*the random picture in the middle of Briley and me was from my 30th Birthday - I tried to put it in another order, but I just couldn't figure it out.

Beach Bums

This past Saturday we headed to Hunington Beach with the kids, Chris and Corinne, and their goddaughter Lisa. We had a great time. The weather was really nice and the kids LOVE the beach. Brock and Dane have now found a new love. Bobby took them boogie boarding... they LOVED it. I only have pictures of Brock on the board with daddy because while Dane was riding, I was feeding little miss Briley, but Dane LOVed it too. Thank God Bobby was a life guard at Hunington during college - so I wasn't freaking out too bad while they were out.
