Birth Announcements

Many of you will be getting these in the mail soon, but I just couldn't wait to share - and yes, I created these through Heritage makers. They're 5x7, full color, both front and back, and they only cost $1.16 - including envelopes:) You can't beat that price any where. Just a thought for Christmas cards:) The red border around all the pages isn't really there - it only uploads that way. I havn't been able to figure out how to get rid of it.

Scrapbook Pages

Yes, a few people have asked and I have been using a company called Heritage Makers. It's an online scrap booking, and memory book making company. They also have tons of other related stuff. I mix both traditional scrapbook pages as well as the digital in my kids books. I've been VERY happy with the company. You can't beat the price, the quality is great and it's REALLY easy. They have great templates you can use, or literally thousands of embellishments and paper you can use to create. If you go to www.storybooktogether.com you can check it out. On the home page, there's a link to contact Chantelle Hanson (she's my friend that I order through).

Four days old:)

One Brother waiting for another

I took this picture with Dane a few minutes before I left for the hospital:) He's so excited to have a new brother:)

He's Here!!!

I'm going to make this a quick post - I'm a little busy:) but I just had to share a few pics. I promise more pics and info to come. For now, just the basics:)

Caedmon Jace Hartz (aka Caed)
was born Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:13 am
he weighed 8 lbs and 15 oz (thank GOD we didn't go full term)
he was 20 1/4 inches long.

He looks a lot like Brock did as a baby. His hair is darker, and his skin seems darker like Daddy, and it looks like he's going to have blue eyes like the other three:)

Praise God (so far) he's a pretty good baby:)
Here are a few pics - tons more to come:)

Dane's First Day of Preschool

I was soooo excited when I found out that Dane was going to have the same preschool teachers that Brock did. We absolutely love Mrs. Pam and Mrs. Lee. Brock LOVED going to school, had so much fun, and really learned a lot. Now Dane gets to be in their class. He was so excited this morning to go. As soon as we walked in the class, off he went to make friends and start playing. I was fighting back tears, and he didn't even look back:)

2,2,2,2,!!!!!

That's right, all these sleepless nights of contractions and I'm only dialated to a 2. So now I'm back home. Atleast I get to make it to Dane's first day of preschool:)

Ultrasound

I had my ultrasound this morning, and things look good. Caed is only measuring a few days bigger than he should, not weeks thank GOD!! The technician thinks he's around 8 and a half pounds right now. That sounds good to me:) However if I go 40 weeks, he'll probably be over 10, so looks like he'll have to come soon:) I do think I'm in labor, but I'll know more this afternoon when I see my Dr. to go over the ultrasound and see if I'm dilating. So, the cars packed and my appointment is at 4:30. In the mean time, here are a few scrapbook pages I just finished from my pregnancy. I took the 9 months picture last night... as you can see I'm about to pop:) It always amazes me just how big I get in 9 months:)

No Baby Yet

Last night I was up most of the night. At 1:00 we almost went to the hospital. My contractions were 8 mins. apart, but then they slowed down again. They've been happening all night and all day yesterday, but they are only about 12-15 mins apart. I have three Dr. appointments today. This morning is my in depth ultra sound to make sure the baby isn't too big, and to see if we need to induce, then I have a diabetic appointment, and then at 4 an OB appointment. I have a pretty strong feeling that at my OB he'll check if I'm dilated (just like with Briley) and I'll see that I'm around 5, after three days of contractions, and he'll send me to the hospital. Once he breaks my water, It doesn't take long after that. So if this happens like last time, I think we'll have a baby tonight. I was hoping on making it until Wed. night so I can be there for Dane's first day of preschool, so If I'm not already at a 5, I'm hoping to hold off for one more day. But, after no sleep last night, I'm not sure I can make it.
I am getting tired of constantly getting ready over and over. Getting the house cleaned, sheets changed, laundry done, fridge stocked, and then having to do it all all over again.

Just timing contractions...

Oh what a Night

I almost went to the hospital last night. The contractions were getting really painful. But, they never got consist ant. They'd got from 15 mins. to 20 mins. to 7 mins. and so on. Finally I went to bed. I was up alot through out the night, but no baby yet. I really need this little guy to wait until after Wed afternoon (Dane starts preschool:).

Thank God we hadn't had baths yet

Good Morning Everyone!!

Poop Party!!!

Yesterday we had our Poop Party... finally:) Dane has been wearing underwear for months now, but he still wont poop on the potty. I've tried everything, but he just holds it all day until we put the pull up on at night, and then he goes. We've tried no pull up at night - then I just end up washing sheets every day - NO fun. I offered a new toy - that worked for Brock, when he pooped, but Dane wasn't interested.
Dane is my food lover (remember all he wanted for Christmas was M&M's). So when he told me he wanted a cake with fire and all, I was more than happy to agree. We've been talking about his cake for weeks, but still no poop in the potty. We'd even gone to the bakery to pick out some options - still no poop in the potty.
So, for the last three days, I've opted to not use a pull up at night, in a desperate attempt to get this taken care of before Caed arrives and I end up with three in diapers!!! Yes, I've been washing sheets EVERY STINKIN DAY!!!
Yesterday, I came down stairs to find my huge dog Bailey had peed in my mud room during the night. I swear he pees as much as a horse. Three beach towels later
and a bucket of hot soapy water I had finally got that mess cleaned up when I noticed Dane sitting on the sofa with a funny look on his face. Sure enough, he'd pooped and peed in his pants, on the sofa (let me add that I'd just bathed and dressed him). So I tried to stay cool, picked him up and moved him to the bathroom. I stripped him down, cleaned him up throw his clothes in the wash with the beach towels from the dog (the sheets were in the dryer now), and headed to the sofa to try to fix that mess. While I was scrubbing away I began to hear a faint splashing sound. Now Dane was peeing and pooping on the tile floor!!! What the .... Oh, but it didn't stop there. After those two messes were cleaned up, and I was back in the laundry room adding more towels to the wash I heard a soft grunt. Yep, this time he pooped on the kitchen floor. I finally realized he wasn't done, and had him sit on the potty. And then it finally happened. The last tiny two pieces made it into the potty. So yes, we had to celebrate our part success:)
Did I mention that in the mean time sissy pooped as well, and thought she'd be helpful by taking her diaper off herself!!!!
Anyways, I eventually got everyone cleaned up, and we headed to the store to buy our poop cake. Although, I've got to be honest I wasn't in much of the celebrating mood:)

Great Idea

So I had this great idea for a scrapbook page. Briley USUALLY loves patting my tummy, saying Baby, kissing it and even singing to it. I though it would be so cute to have a picture of her kissing or patting my tummy with the title "One Baby Waiting For Another". So when my husband got home from work, I asked him to take a quick pic. Of course this was the one time she wanted nothing to do with the baby, and freaked when I asked her to pat the baby. Some how I don't think this picture is going to work...
