Knott's Berry Farm

Yesterday Bobby and I decided to take the kids to Knott's. We've been wanting to do it for a while, and figured we'd better do it soon before I get any bigger:) We took our two year old nephew Noah with us too. The kids had a great time, and my feet didn't swell... too bad. Here are a few pics from our day:)

Shoes

During our little weekend away, of course we had to get a little something for each of the kids. For Briley, we found these CUTE Roxy sandals. I was afraid that she wouldn't be able to walk in them since they were pretty high, but much to my surprise, she has no problem. The only problem was getting them off:) She LOVES them:) She's been running all over the house with them, and putting them in everyone's face that she can so they can admire her "Fancy Shoes" too:)

Bobby's BIG weekend

Saturday was Bobby's birthday, and Sunday was Father's day - so as you can guess, he had a big weekend:) We (Bobby and I) went away Friday night to Laguna Beach. We left Friday afternoon, and came home Saturday night. It was soo nice to get away just us for a little bit.

Thank you SOOOOO much mom and grandma for staying with the kids.

Friday we checked into our hotel, hung out, went to Las Brisas for diner - yummy:) then headed to the block in Orange to meet some friends at the Improv to see Jay Moore. Super funny guy.
Saturday was so nice Bobby got up early, went and got breakfast, and we had breakfast in bed (you would have thought it was my birthday:) Then we stayed in bed until 11!!! That could NEVER happen at home. We would have been attacked by wild hungry monkeys by 7am.
When we finally got up we went to lunch, and then a movie. We spent the next few hours roaming around the Block, we got the kids gifts, and then went to another yummy, quiet, long dinner:) It was so nice to have Bobby all to my self:)

Pre-school Graduation

On Friday, Brock had his graduation from pre-school. He is soooo excited about kindergarten - I still can't believe he's old enough for this!!! I start crying just thinking about it.

Thank God for some MUCH needed fun in the sun:)

We're FREE!!!!!

So my car has been in the shop since last week - the transmission whet out on the freeway - that was fun:( The kids and I have been trapped here at the house. You can only do so much painting, games, puzzles, books and workbooks before you are just BORED. I really ran out of ideas for us. I couldn't even take them on walks. We live at the top of a steep hill, and no matter which way we walked, I'd be stuck pushing the stroller back up the hill. That would normally be a great thing, but not now when I'm almost 7 months pregnant:)
Bobby picked up my car from the shop yesterday - so today is our big jail break!!! We are headed to Grammy's backyard to run wild. I've never been so grateful for my car before:)

6 Months

So I've now hit 26 weeks, and 25 lbs. gained!!! I have to admit, this pregnancy has been the hardest. I'm just so dang tired. I'm convincing myself it's because this baby is going to be the biggest (beating Brock who was 9 lbs.). That's why I've gained 25 lbs - the baby is surly to weigh at least 1l lbs.

I never would have admitted it before, but I actually gained 42 lbs. with Brock and 35 lbs. with Dane. My weight gain with Briley came in at a low :) 32 lbs. So, I guess with my past track record I'm doing just fine. Once agian I'll just have a lot of miles to run and sit-ups to do when the pushing is all done:) Thank God for jogging strollers!

We LOVE Watermelon!!!!!

Boys

How is it possible that in the the time it takes me to strip a bed of wet sheets, Dane manages to find some sidewalk chalk, color his face blue, his pj's rainbow, the CAT pink and blue, and the entire bottom section of the trampoline!?!?!? And.. all of this occurred in the first five minutes of me crawling out of bed - I'm afraid of what that may mean for the rest of the day?!

A Blog Hijacking by Bobby

I must admit that I very rarely read Shan's blog for pretty much the same reason that I very rarely read a book after watching the movie. I'm living it. But I just hopped on the computer and here it was. Impressive!!! Now I know what she means when she says that it's been a "long day". She's been busy plotting witty new snippets of our lives to post for the whole world to see. I love you baby...

Now, I happened to hop on right after she blogged about the anal-retentive military style organizing, catagorizing, and sanitizing of our home. I also read the comments that a few of you posted requesting that I come over to your house and do the same. I would like to take this opportunity to address these requests.

I, Bobby Hartz, would love nothing more than to clean and organize any of your homes under only 2 conditions. First, I must have the time to perform said tasks (which I do not due to the fact that I have spent the better part of 40 hours on our house and I am not even half way done). Second, I have to have faith in the fact that once the house is 'Bobbified' that it will stay that way (which I also do not due to the experiences of my own life). I love you baby...

Now let's be real here ladies (because if you are a dude checking out my wife's blog there may be some issues there), this is an intervention. If we, and I am speaking for all of us, were to spend the time that we spend blogging actually cleaning and organizing, we would never have a need for the 'Bobbification' process in the first place. I love you baby...

Well, now that that is out of the way, I am going to be getting back to catagorizing my wife's size 0,2,4,6,8,10 (I can't go any higher for fear of my life) jeans for each of her stages of pregnancy. I love you baby... You may think of me as anal, which I may be, but if you'd seen the curdled sippy cups that I pulled out of the sofa sleeper, you may change your mind and actually refer to me as a Hazardous Material Transporter. I'm saving lives here people.

At any rate, this has been fun and even mildly therapeutic. I encourage all husbands of obsessively excessive blogging wives to come in and hijack their blogs. Trust me it will blow their minds. It's kind of like the way I'd feel if I came home from work to find my wife in the back yard building a redwood deck. They'll never see it coming.

Now, I don't know what the consequenses of my actions will be, but if its extra chores this weekend then I have already done the time for the crime. If its spankings then I guess I'll have to deal with that. Any good man has to face the music when he steps outside the lines.

This has been a Blog Hijacking. Husbands, let's start a revolution!!! Are you with me???

Oh yeah, we don't read these things anyway. Dust in the Wind...

I love you baby...

Painting:)

Thanks Grammy for my sucker:)

Spring Cleaning

My husband has been on a rampage the past few weekends doing Spring Cleaning. I'm good at the everyday - picking up and weekly cleaning, but I have to admit, I'm not so good at the deep cleaning. My husband had to step in and help:) He pulled EVERYTHING out of EVERY cabinet - kitchen, laundry room, guest room, closets, coat closet, utility/cat room, my workroom.... He moved out the sofas (you wouldn't believe the stuff we found under those..) we cleaned baseboards and under furniture. We now have four overflowing trash cans, and I dropped off tons of boxes at the thrift store yesterday. He really did an awesome job.
Here are a few pics of some of his awesome work:) He's now planning on hitting my closet next. I'm a little scared:(
